Wnt3 Morpholino injected planula larvae of Clytia hemisphaerica

Organism : Cnidarian Jellyfish
Species : Clytia hemisphaerica
Description : Axis-defected planula larva of Clytia hemisphaerica. Morpholino (MO) antisense oligonucleotide for Wnt3 mRNA was injected into the egg. Wnt3 is a key molecule to activate the Wnt/beta-catenin pathway that plays crucial role for oral-aboral axis determination. Wnt3 MO injected embryo show now sign of body axis.
